The journey unfolds just 40 minutes from Marrakech, venturing off-road through Tahnaoute. Pause to savor the panoramic views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains (snow present from December/January to March, subject to weather conditions) and engage with the warm hospitality of the local Moroccans.

Continue to the Plateau Kik, a gateway to the Agafay Desert, where a sense of freedom and inspiration prevails. Indulge in a traditional Moroccan lunch by the lake, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. As the day gently transitions into evening, embark on a mesmerizing camel ride during the sunset. Channeling the allure of “Lawrence of Arabia,” you’ll traverse the pristine landscapes of the earth.

Following the camel ride, head to the starting point and embark on a delightful half-hour camel stroll, culminating in your arrival at the Agafay Camp. The friendly staff will extend a warm Moroccan welcome. Cap off your day with a delightful dinner, whether in the camp or under the bewitching desert sky. During the summer months, beds can be arranged outside upon request, allowing you to sleep under the stars.

Awaken with the dawn to witness the sun’s mesmerizing ascent, casting a cool blue hue across the morning sky and illuminating the desert shadows. Enjoy a typical breakfast at the camp, savoring the tranquil desert ambiance. Commence your journey back to Marrakech around 10:30 AM, encountering entirely new views along the way.
